Windows & Doors FAQ
Choose the right approach for your home.
Have a question about your home? Let’s discuss the details.
Discuss your project →Check your service area →What is the difference between an insert replacement and a full-frame window replacement?
An insert replacement fits a new window into the existing frame. A full-frame replacement removes the old frame, allowing new flashing to protect against moisture intrusion. Whenever possible, we recommend a full-frame installation with a new-construction window, often keeping a similar size and adding new exterior PVC trim.
Can Beroli enlarge a window or door opening?
Yes. We can enlarge existing window and door openings or create new ones, including structural modifications such as new beams and supports when needed.
How is water protection handled around new windows and doors?
We install flashing and weatherproofing appropriate to each window or door opening. With full-frame installations, we integrate new flashing with the home's weather barrier to direct water outside and help prevent moisture intrusion behind the siding and trim.
Does the scope include siding, trim, flashing, and interior repairs around the opening?
Yes. Full-frame replacements and new openings include new flashing and interior and exterior trim. Siding work depends on the existing material and how the new installation ties into it. Any additional repairs will be detailed in your proposal.
How do we choose the right window or door product?
We help you compare style, material, energy performance, and cost, then narrow the options to products that suit your home's design and the existing opening.
